Las
Vegas Weather – You won’t find
many cold or rainy days in Las Vegas. Situated in
the middle of the desert, Las Vegas is warm to hot
year round. Spring starts in March and runs until
June. The spring is generally warm high 60s warming
to the 80s by late May or early June. This is a nice
time to visit, as the weather is pleasant and the
crowds haven’t really started arriving yet.
The hot Summer Weather is in full
force by the end of June and lasts until the middle
or end of September. The city is really busy with
tourists, and the hot temperatures (average high 90s
and low 100s) can cause tempers to flair. Mid-July
to the end of August is especially hot with temperatures
sometimes reaching 110 degrees—or more. It is
very important to bring plenty of water when visiting
Las Vegas during the summer. Frequent forays to the
indoor attractions and casinos are recommended. It
does cool down slightly after sunset, but the heat
can linger past midnight.
Autumn Weather is very pleasant.
Las Vegas is also very busy during the fall. The end
of September to the middle of December sees a gradual
drop to the high 50s and low 60s. The winters don’t
get very cold. Sometimes it gets down around 40, but
this happens rarely before sunset. It has been known
to snow once in a very great while in Las Vegas, but
it never sticks.
